Search For Local US Channels By State

We’ve added a new feature that was very much needed to the website.  Now you can easily search for regional and local tv channels in the USA by state.

With over 250 live tv and VOD channels in the USA, and more channels being added weekly, it was a necessary next step to break out the channels by state.

For example, if you want to watch the news cast from WGN in Chicago, you would click on the link for “IL”.  Go to all Illinois TV Channels by clicking here.  We decided to make the state abbreviations so it would fit nicely in the web design.

Of course, the local state feature only appears when you are searching tv channels in the USA.

One of the things I enjoy most about this job is being able to go thru all the states of the union and to see the cultural differences among the regions.  For example, the Northeast, Midwest, Northwest, South, all have very distinct ways of reporting news.

Small towns new staffs have a ‘family’ like approach to the news.  Big cities anchors are trying to sound like their national counterparts.  Catch the local sports casts from your favorite towns.  See how the local press reports on your favorite sports teams.
