StreamingThe.Net Says Hello There!

Well first of all, for all you new-comers, which is essentially everyone since this website is only 3 weeks old, let me say that we are simply amazed with the amount of traffic we have received.  Yesterday, we broke a new record (it’s hard to speak of records with a 3 week old website) that we had over 15K pageviews.  I realize that’s not going to propell us to the top of Alexa, but for a new baby, that’s mighty hefty.

So what are our plans?

Well if we told you then it would take out all the fun of coming back and seeing all the new features.  Suffice to say that we are truly at the infancy of StreamingThe.Net  Soon we will open user registration and our users will be able to do a whole bunch of cool things that are not being done out there on the web (at least not all in one place…)

One thing for sure, we are not trying to impress anyone with a really fancy GUI.  Our aim is to get you quickly and accurately to your desired live media source. Whether it’s Live TV, Radio, (coming soon: Videos, Movies, and More).  You can expect to find it quickly here.

Sponsor Ads – What’s the deal?

Another point about site design.  There’s always a tough decision regarding ads placement.  In a perfect world, we’d all be Wikipedia with multi-million dollar endownments.  The truth is, it costs money to run a website.  The servers are expensive.  Developers don’t work only for donuts.  You will see some ads on StreamingThe.Net.   Our sponsors, mostly Google, are there to help us provide you with more quality entertainment, without having to ask for lame Paypal donations. (I hope we don’t have to eat that last statement in the future)…

Bottom line: I wanted to keep you all informed with where we are headed, and look forward to our community growing with your help and suggestions.   Check back here often and give your input on what you’d like to see here.
